Astria Smith

Astria Smith has over a decade of experience in non-profit development. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Baylor University, a Master’s Degree in counseling from Amberton University and a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from SMU’s Perkins School of Theology. Astria began her development career at Methodist Children’s Home in Waco, TX and joined the SMU team in 2007. Astria currently serves as Executive Director for Annual Giving at SMU, managing a variety of giving initiatives including reunions, faculty/staff, student, and parent giving programs in addition to executing direct marketing, leadership gift and peer solicitation strategies. A member of St. Luke “Community” United Methodist Church, she also enjoys participating in ministries that seek to fulfil the mission of embracing, nurturing and serving children, youth, adults and families.
