The Zan Wesley Holmes, Jr. Community Outreach Center (ZWHJCOC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to help create self-sustaining pathways out of poverty for young people and families in Dallas through education, training, and job placement. We would love to partner with you and can use your volunteer services in the following areas:

Mentoring: areas of entrepreneurship

Special Events: help organize and host our annual In Conversation, Juneteenth Economic Forum and other activities.

Fundraising: Help organize our annual North Texas Giving Day and Giving Tuesday efforts and ongoing fundraising activities.

General Office: receptionist, reprographics, administrative assistance, greeters, runners, etc.

Professional Services: social workers, marketing/PR/advertising, photography, catering, etc.

Other: Any other help you would like to provide!

To join the ZWHJCOC team fill out the form below. We will get in touch with you to set up a schedule that works best for you.

After filling out the form you will be redirected to Dallas Independent School District’s (DISD) website to create a volunteer account in their Voly System. Being a registered volunteer with DISD is a requirement for those who are volunteering inside of a DISD property. While filling out the application make sure to select the Julia C. Frazier House when you get to schools. Also make sure you watch the orientation video until the end to move forward in the application process to the background check.
