William (Bill) Keyes
William (Bill) Keyes is an Engineering Consulting Executive who has worked in the Rail Transit Systems industry for 31 years in various engineering consulting, program management, business development and sales capacities. He has led many large-scale rail projects in Texas and across the country. Bill’s expertise lies with rail technology and was awarded Black Engineer of the Year for Modern Day Technology Leader in 2008. Currently he is an Assistant Vice President (AVP) for WSP USA responsible for profit and loss for all projects in his region, talent management and capture management. Bill earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University and his Executive MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Bill is an active member of St. Luke Community United Methodist Church serving on the Board of Trustees and Co-Chairs the Church Building Committee where his engineering knowledge and business experience is put to good use.
Bill recently joined the Board of the Zan Wesley Holmes Jr. Community Outreach Center (ZWHJCOC) that services young people and their families living in poverty, with an emphasis on South Dallas and the Southeastern sector of Dallas. He also volunteers at St. Phillip’s School and Community Center where his 8-year-old attends 3rd Grade. He has spent time with the kids at lunch (providing a break for the teachers), chaperoned during field trips and serves on the Dads’ Club that supports special school events like Homecoming, the Mother/Son Dance and other school events.
Bill is a proud member of the 100 Black Men of Greater Dallas-Fort Worth and serves on the Executive Board as Vice President of Finance. He is especially passionate about mentoring youth who are interested in the various STEM fields.
Bill grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but has lived in the Dallas Metroplex for the last 20 years. He has been married to his beautiful wife Katrina for r 18 years and has a very active 8-year-old son, Eli.
